Randhir Prasad Verma received Ashoka Chakra Award for his bravery during a tough operations. Let’s know more about his brave Story:-

 Randhir Prasad Verma:-

  • Randhir Prasad Verma was born on 1952
  • He was born in in the village Jagatpur of Supaul district previously in Saharsa district of Bihar.
  • He studied at St. John’s High School, Ranchi and Patna College
  • joined the Indian Police Service in 1974.
  • He died while trying to resist a robbery attempt in a bank in Dhanbad.
  • In 2004 The Government of India has issued a Commemorative postage stamp in his honor.

Story  of Randhir Prasad Verma:-

Randhir Prasad Verma was an Indian police officer . As a police officer Randhir Prasad Verma abolished a lot of criminal gangs. On 3 January 1991 in Dhanbad, he died as a the Superintendent of Police while serving his duty in resisting robbery at Bank of India branch.His widow Rita Verma later joined politics. She from BJP ticket was elected to Lok Sabha. A Chowk “Randhir Verma Chowk” is a busy lane named after him in Dhanbad. The Government of India also issued a Commemorative postage stamp in his honor.  His family consist wife and two growing sons. In Muzaffarpur District there is a Cricket Club  Randhir Verma Cricket Club (RVCC) on the name of Randhir Verma. Due to his bravery he was posthumously awarded the gallantry award Ashoka Chakra.
